Meet Dr. MillerMom. Runner. Neighbor.
Dr. Caris Miller grew up in Lake Country, and this is where she wants to be: not just running a practice, but building a healthier pace for her neighbors.
She found dentistry early, working chairside with her uncle before she’d even picked her high school freshman classes. What stuck wasn’t just the procedures. It was the connection. She still believes a good dentist treats the whole person, not just the smile: your mouth is the gateway to your body and healthy teeth are part of a healthy, well-lived life.
She earned her undergraduate degree at UW–Madison (Spanish major, still fluent; she’ll switch mid-sentence if it puts you at ease), her DMD from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and completed a competitive AEGD residency treating underserved and homeless patients, where she learned that good care starts with meeting people exactly where they are, no judgment attached. She keeps sharpening her skills through Spear Education and other continuing education modalities, because “good enough” isn’t really her pace.
Off the clock, she’s chasing her two boys (ages 3 and 5, currently building the case that every spider, pill bug, and toad they find is a future family pet who just needs a bug box and a little love) with her husband, usually with an oat milk latte in hand. If you see her in the carline at Cushing Elementary or Wee Know, give her a wave! Yes, she runs (most days, rain, shine, or Wisconsin winter), but she’s just as likely to text you her favorite parenting or inspirational podcast episode, make the case for why you need to start Ted Lasso immediately, or ask where you got those shoes.
Mostly, though, she wants to hear about you. Your kids and grandbabies, all the deets on your latest trip, the job interview you were nervous about. She remembers, because good care starts with actually knowing the person in the chair. If you’re looking for a dentist who treats you like a friend, celebrates your wins right along with you, and handles the hard stuff without judgment, you’ve found her.
